FAQs

These are some of the questions that are asked most frequently. If you don’t see an answer to your question, please contact us via email at info@forestvilledentalclinic.com.au or call (02) 9451 3668. We’ll be happy to answer your question to the best of our ability.

Q. Do you take new patients?

A. Yes, we welcome new patients and appreciate our patients referring their family and friends. We endeavour to accommodate emergency visits on the day you call.

Q.What is included in a comprehensive exam?

A. During the comprehensive exam we will review your medical history. We will listen to any specific concerns you may have regarding your teeth and general oral health. The dentist will thoroughly examine the teeth, gums and surrounding structures, including the jaw joints, cheeks and muscles. As part of the exam, x-rays may be taken to help check between the teeth and to examine the bone.

All the findings and treatment options are then discussed with you to formulate a treatment plan. For the best long term care of your oral health we recommend an exam every six months.

Q.What are your fees?

A. There is an extensive range of services that we offer, so it is difficult to cover all of the fees that could be involved with your treatment prior to an exam. Following the initial comprehensive exam, we will provide you with information regarding treatment needed and treatment options, including the charges for each procedure.

Q. What do I do if I have an emergency when your office is closed?

A. Please contact us on 9451 3668 and you will be directed to an after hours contact number.

Q. At what age should I bring my child in for the first visit?

A. We recommend that you bring your child in for a first visit at 2 to 3 years of age. It is important that your child has a positive experience at the dentist. This first checkup is usually a fun ride in the chair, but it allows us to make sure everything is developing normally. It can also help your child become accustomed to our office and staff, which can be very helpful in preparing for future visits.
